The Stillwater Shoot Out a Success!

 
Over 100 shooters and spectators participated in The StillwaterShoot Out held October 13th at Scotty's Shooting Ranch. Teams of five men and women competed in trap, rifle, pistol, archery and golf vying for the"TOP SHOT" position. The event was a major fundraiser for the Stillwater ChristianSchool PTO and replaced their annual auction.
 
The school sold raffle tickets for a Standard BattleLight 2.0 AR-15 rifle donated by NEMOArms. The winning ticket was drawn by Clint Walker of NEMO Arms and the winner announced by General Paul Vallely. Congratulations to Matt Herset of team Thompson Arms, winner of the rifle. Matt bought five tickets and has had the rifle on his“wishlist” for some time now.
 
The first place "Top Shot" team was the Thompson Arms team comprised of Alan Fitzsimmons, Ron Flink, Matt Herset, Jake Meerkatz, and Greg Smith.
 
The Boils with Rod Danz, Tom George, Dennis Heck, John Smith, and Zach Smith finished in second place.
 
The West Shore Shooters team with Sam Cox, David Fetveit, Jon Fetveit, Harrison Grant, andSavannah Hollopeter finished in third place.
 
The "Top Shot" female was Dallas Heine of team deHoop deLivers.
 
The "Top Shot" male was Harrison Grant of team West Shore Shooters.
 
Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Stillwater Christian School PTO to update technology and promote furtherlearning in all grades. Former projects funded by PTO include a science lab makeover, new playground, additional computer lab & software updates, library upgrades and an additional soccer field. The PTO board has a vision to help make Stillwater the best possible learning environment for all students and staff members.
