"We liked the small, loving, family-involved environment. When picturing a place to send our children for eight-hours a day...this school is what I always imagined. God bless and thank you for being a Christian, nurturing environment."
- Sherill, SCS Parent
In the early years of schooling our primary focus is on equipping students with the tool of grammar. These years are often referred to as "Grammar School," and with good reason. It is during this time, kindergarten through fifth grade, that the building blocks, the grammar, of each subject is learned and sharpened for a lifetime of use. Rote learning is effective as is the study of Latin in learning the structure and organization of language. Students participate in weekly chapel, music/band, library, and P.E. experiences to round out the academic structure of the classroom.
