2020 Fall Sports and New Facilities!

Andrew HarrelAthletic News

In light of everything going on, it is clear we serve such a wonderful and gracious God! Despite unpredictability, cancellations, rescheduling, and questions about whether a 2020 fall sports season would even be possible, we have successfully completed an entire season of soccer and volleyball at Stillwater.  It has not been a normal season by any means, but I am so thankful that our Fall athletes have had the opportunity to play. Go Cougars!

Prior to athletes arriving on campus in early August, our gymnasium and weight room underwent comprehensive upgrades.  Gymnasium walls were repainted and repaired, wall mats were replaced and sectioned along the North and South walls, new scoreboards were installed, a new scorer’s table was purchased, and a brand new training area was outfitted with equipment and a “traveling” table that can be used for inside and outside sporting events.

In the weight room, all of the old equipment was replaced with brand new state-of-the-art weight training and functional fitness equipment. As of right now, the weight room has brand new rubber free-weights, two squat racks, a multi-purpose training area, brand new cardio equipment, a rowing machine, miscellaneous functional fitness equipment, new flooring, and a new sound system. Our high school sports teams and new high school weight training elective classes are benefiting greatly from these upgrades. We are so grateful for the ways God has graciously provided athletic opportunities for Stillwater students.
