40 Days of Prayer – Day 2

Can your courage endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it. Ezekiel 22:14
Can your courage endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.” Ezekiel 22: 14. We see in Ezekiel that God wants the Israelites to shed blood and obey him. While the Israelites did this they became guilty and started making idols that the other places worshiped. Ezekiel is telling them that they have been sinful against God. This verse specifically asks the people of Israel if they will have courage in the Lord because of the sin that they have committed. We can apply this by how we as Christians act towards God and we need to have courage when God tells us to do something and we are not sure what the repercussions are going to be like. God promises that he will do what he says in this verse, verses before, and also in books after. The Lord will speak to us and essentially deliver us from past guilt from what we have. Our hands need to be strong so when the Lord needs us to go anywhere he sends us we will go and be strong.
