40 Days of Prayer – Day 3

SCS StudentDevotional Blog

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”   James 1:12

James is giving guidance about how to get through the trials of life and reassuring us that God will help us through these trials if ask Him too. In verse twelve of chapter one James tells us that God is happy with the person who stands firm throughout the trials of life and in return he will be rewarded for his perseverance because that is what God has promised to those who love Him. This verse ties in with our school goal this year about being strong and courageous because developing these character traits will help us through the trials in our lives. Don’t be discouraged because in James he tells us that all we have to do is ask God for wisdom and if we ask in faith He will give it to us freely.
