The Struggle IS Real

Have you ever tried so hard to do something that seemed impossible? Have you ever strived for a goal you felt couldn’t be reached? Do you ever just give up on these things because you felt as if they couldn’t be done? These are things everyone does at some point in their life. Whether it be working late shifts at a job, getting better grades in school, trying to be a better person towards our family, or fixing a broken relationship, we all struggle from time with things such as these. In this crazy world we live in, it’s easy to get lost in the doubt and anxiety we get of not being able to be perfect. Sometimes, we truly see that the struggle is real. I know some of us make jokes about this from time to time, myself included, but if we stop and truly think about it, we realize how much we actually do struggle in life. The strange thing is, we as humans tend to think we can do it all by ourselves. In 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 it says, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” We need to ask God to help us through our struggles and give us the courage to go on. We must be strong through our trials so that we can be blessed in the end.

  • SCS as a Light in the Community
  • Praise God as your mighty, protective and loving Father. Thank him for adopting you as his own son or daughter and for making you an heir to all the promises in Scripture (Galatians 3:26-29).
  • Joshua 1:9:  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
