40 Days of Prayer – Day 31

SCS StudentDevotional Blog

“Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe the statutes and the rules that the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Fear not; do not be dismayed.”  1 Chronicles 22:13

God is telling us to walk with him in our daily lives and to study what he has done for us by reading the Bible and praying. I always take comfort in the words in the Bible “Fear not; do not be dismayed” because when he says this I know that he is always watching over us in whatever we do and that he will never let us fall so low that we lose our salvation because we cannot lose our salvation it is with us until we die and go to Heaven. I think that we can use every verse in the Bible to apply to our daily lives but one part in this verse stands out really well and it says “Be Strong and Courageous” which means that we should be spreading the gospel and not be ashamed of God and what he did for us he is telling us to be strong and courageous in him and I take great comfort in that knowing that he sent his only Son to die for us on the cross and that we can go to heaven for free because Jesus paid the price.

Prayer Focus:

  • Churches across our community – their Pastors & Staff
  • Ask God to help you be a truthful person in whom he would delight (Ps. 12:2)
  • I Corinthians 1:3-9:  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
