As a graduate from Stillwater Christian School, I had an awesome experience I will never forget. Before transferring to Stillwater, I had been going to one of the large local high schools. It wasn't easy adjusting to a small private Christian school, but the staff and students made it seem like nothing.

At first, I wondered why I chose a school that was more difficult and challenging; but as the year progressed, I could see that this decision was the right one. I immediately made friends and felt like a part of the school on the first day. Another advantage was that I was being taught faith-based classes. The assignments, speeches and tests were harder than what I was used to, but all of the work was preparing me for the future. Now that I am in college, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad I got to go through minor and major thesis. As much work and trouble as they were in the moment, all of the work prepared me for what college has to offer me.

To add on to the academic side of Stillwater, I also experienced many great extra-curricular activities. A few that I enjoyed were band, jazz band, art, student council, intramurals, and the best: basketball. Many memories were made in my two short years and many of those came from being involved in my school. One experience that I will never forget was 2015 state basketball. Long story short, we won state and I will always remember that. Some shots were made that were also pretty incredible, a gift only God could give.

At first, I didn't want to go to Stillwater because of the whole "new school" aspect of things and the challenges that it would bring, but God can do amazing things if we put our life in his hands and trust him with everything. Through Stillwater, God provided me with the opportunity to go to a Christian college which has been a life changing situation. At times when God is speaking to you, it may not seem like something you want to do, but God has a plan. He can and will make great things happen if we have faith in him.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
