  • Identity Rooted in Christ - V I D E O

Posted by Stillwater Christian School on 10/9/2019

FilmSaints Live put together this piece for us at the close of the 2018/19 school year. One of the important messages that we try to emphasize with our students is that we are image bearers of God. This deeply affects how our teachers lead and guide their pupils - reminding them, often, that we are made in God's image. We want our students to rest in this, understanding that their identity is not rooted in themselves - not in their appearance, or even their performance in the classroom and other activities. They have an identity rooted in Christ, and we hope this foundation will serve them for the rest of their lives.

  • State of the School Presentation 2019

Posted by Jeremy Marsh, Head of School on 3/6/2019

Thank you to all of you who came to the State of School meetings in February. We incentivized your presence because we believe it’s important that you have a sense of where we’ve been, where we’re at, and where we’re going, which was the outline of this year’s presentation. Our vision at Stillwater Christian School is “to develop lifelong learners who discern and apply God’s truth as they serve and lead where God calls.” As our partners in this pursuit, we owe you accountability and transparency regarding the work we’re doing and our future plans. And it’s my hope that what was shared in the meetings was also encouraging to you.

This year’s meeting focused heavily on the Strategic Plan which provides a roadmap for our future growth and development at Stillwater. I was excited to report on the work we’ve been doing to implement the strategies and goals articulated in the plan.

For those of you who were not able to be at the meeting, please watch this presentation so that you too can be encouraged by the information that was shared.  Thanks for giving us the opportunity to partner with you in teaching your children diligently the things of God (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).

  • Stillwater Partnering with Parents

Posted by Stillwater Christian School on 5/10/2018

The 21st Century is a challenging time to raise children. Parents who desire to raise their kids with Christian values and principles are under stress today because so many things in the culture are working against them. At Stillwater Christian School we work very hard to counter these cultural forces by teaching the truth of God's word and joining them in the shared goal producing godly character and wisdom in their children. To do this well we need to know our parents and our students and to listen to and love them through the joys and challenges of life and learning. I am so grateful for the strong partnership that exists between parents and the community of Stillwater Christian School.

Every child is unique and the ones who know this best are that child's parents. We know that the most effective way to accomplish our mission is to let parents take the lead, serving them as attentive partners while we love their children and shape them to become the individuals that God created them to be.

  • School Choice is an Important Choice!

Posted by Stillwater Christian School on 2/12/2018

School Choice is an important and life-changing decision that all parents must make regarding the education of their children. Many formative hours are spent at school alongside teachers and classmates, studying particular curriculum and engaging in particular extra-curricular activities. Habits of thinking, habits of acting, and habits of character are being formed and will impact who they are and who they will be for the rest of their lives. The very character of our children is at stake. Parents and grandparents are encouraged in the decision they make to have their children here at Stillwater Christian School. You are urged to stick with that choice. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in the education of your children.

  • Christmas 2017!

Posted by Stillwater Christian School on 12/20/2017

"Grace and truth" is becoming a common pairing of words in Christian Schools. Maintaining the truth of the gospel in a culture of grace is a worthy goal. Christmas time is a wonderful time to remember the source of grace and truth (John 1:14). All of us at Stillwater Christian School hope and pray your family will have a wonderful Christmas full of grace and truth as you celebrate the incarnation.

Posted by Stillwater Christian School on 11/21/2017

Psalm 107 instructs the redeemed of the Lord to say so, to speak out regarding God's goodness, faithfulness, and steadfast love. We, at Stillwater Christian School, give thanks for His many blessings to us. Come join us as our students, faculty, and staff share some of what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.

O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

    Psalm 107:1-2a

  • 2017/2018 Stillwater Athletic Program Develops Christian Character

Posted by Stillwater Christian School on 10/31/2017

We believe our athletic program provides an opportunity to help young men and women develop character, their leadership, their teamwork, and to be mentored by coaches who serve not only as role models but as teachers of those things. We have excellent mature coaches and we believe that our athletic program builds character and perseverance in our students.
