Logan Health’s Youth Development Initiative aims to develop our youth not only in physical health, but connect them to Logan Health and other community resources for any mental health and spiritual health needs.  Our goal is to develop everyone we work with professionally, preparing them for their future and to give every athlete in Northwest Montana the tools needed to reach their performance goals and stay healthy doing so. For more information on Logan Health’s Youth Development Initiative, Strength and Conditioning Programs, Sports Physicals, and the Save the Brain Concussion Program go to https://www.logan.org/fitness/kids/youth-development.

Logan Health’s Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) provide the highest quality sports medicine care for injury prevention and when necessary, emergency care, clinical exam and diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and post-injury rehabilitation.  They work under the directions of sports medicine fellowship Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Kim Stimpson.  The NATA Code of Ethics states the principles of ethical behavior that should be followed in the practice of athletic training.  Athletic trainers must graduate from an accredited baccalaureate, master’s program, or doctoral program and pass a national board exam. They work in secondary schools, colleges/universities, clinics/hospitals, the industrial setting, and in professional sports. For more information on athletic training visit https://www.nata.org.

Logan Health’s Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) are all Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists through the NSCA.  They provide individualized coaching and teach techniques based on current scientific evidence supported by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and USA Weightlifting.   They have experience with athletes from middle school all the way to the professional and Olympic levels.
