Strength in Community
The community of Stillwater Christian School is one that is deeply connected in loving God and loving others. At Stillwater, we cultivate a community of understanding, care, and grace, and our shared commitment to Christ is integrated into every aspect of the SCS experience.
Spiritual Life & Chapel
Rooted in Our Mission & Vision
At Stillwater, spiritual formation is rooted in the school’s mission and vision to equip students with the tools for learning through a Christ-centered education. Placing Christ in the center of our work enables students to discover, embrace, and integrate a biblical view of the world.
Our Focus
Gospel Focus
Jesus Christ died for our sins, and it is by grace through faith that we have been saved. This is the foundation for everything we teach and do at Stillwater. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Gospel Transformation
The power of the gospel transforms all of creation from brokenness to wholeness. Jesus is making everything new again. We have a role to play in the walking out of our faith to bring honor to God and reconciliation to all that we touch. (Romans 6:11; Colossians 2:6)
Community
Students understand that the foundation of gospel living is loving God and loving others. This foundation should impact how we interact with one another within this community. Therefore, our community at Stillwater should be one of love, care, and accountability. (Matthew 22:37-39)
Mission
Jesus calls us to be missional as we respond to our understanding of the cross. We are God’s agents of restoration perfectly placed to bring gospel change wherever we go. Stillwater strives to reflect this truth in joy. (II Corinthians 5:18-20; Matthew 28:19)
Worship
Everything we do at Stillwater is centered around the worship of Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to loving Jesus and his word. From the Chapel music to the classroom to the playing field we strive to worship Christ in all things. (Colossians 1:15-20)
The SCS House Program
As image bearers of a relational God, human beings are designed to be connected to others. The SCS House system exists to accomplish two simple goals:
Build community and positively influence
the student experience at SCS.
High School students are assigned to one of six houses. Each house is led by two student leaders and at least one faculty member.
Parents & Families:
An Important Partnership
We value our partnership with our Stillwater parents. Our parents are a vital part of the SCS vision and mission, playing an integral role in the guidance and education of our students.
