House Program & Leadership

The SCS House program began in 2019 as a regular means of gathering in community to “stir up one another to love and good works.” (Hebrews 10:24). All High School students are assigned to one of six houses where they remain for the rest of their Stillwater career.  Student-led houses, guided by faculty “deans,” meet twice a month during school hours and compete in various competitions and engage in special activities throughout the year.

The particular purposes of SCS House are as follows:

1

Create authentic leadership and service experiences at Stillwater Christian School.

2

Promote unity and community across grade levels.

3

Create a sense of ownership, belonging, and excitement among students.

4

Promote accountability among students.

5

Build Christian character, the foundation for true student-leadership.

6

Counteract the current student culture of apathy and self-centeredness.
